Specifically for the region of Crete proposals have been approved for the creation of such networks in 6 cities: Heraklion, Chania, Rethymnon, Siteia and Ierapetra. In total, it is expected that more than 100 km of Telematic Networks will be developed, while the approved proposals add up to a budget of roughly 8,081,500 euro.

Within the project’s framework, members of the Transformation Services Laboratory participate in the work of the Technical Support Advisor of the  region of Crete (coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Crete) that has undertaken the obligation to prepare the analytical studies of these networks, to assist the integrated municipalities in the preparation of the necessary documents and to supervise the correct implementation of the project.
